Artist description
Gustafi are a music band started in 1980 in Vodnjan by Edi and Vlado Maružin, Čedomir Mošnja, Igor Arih and Livio Morosin. The band is famous for their mixture of rock music with Istrian folk music, blues and tex-mex, and they are considered to be one of the greatest representatives of the ča-wave (new wave of Istrian music).
They are most famous for their hit songs like Brkica, Kega si sanjala, Katarina, Kadli su ta vrata, Kurijera and others. Of the original line-up still remain the text and music author Edi Maružin (vocals, guitar), Vlado Maružin (guitar) and Čedomir Mošnja (drums). The other members are Edin Pecman (accordion and keyboard), Martin Šikman (bass), Boris Mohorić (trumpet), Romano Hantih (tuba), Gianluca Antonini (trombone), Sara Queiroz (vocals), Ana Antolović (vocals), Emmanoele da Silva (percussion), Nikola Bernobić (trumpet) and Alen Bernobić (trumpet).
They recorded 9 successful albums. The last one, “Kanibalkanska”, was recorded in 2012.
