Dub Pistols have been at the forefront of genre-blending dance music since the mid-1990s, emerging from the UK’s big beat explosion. Taking inspiration from the likes of The Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim, the band's sound is a pulsating mix of electronic beats, skanking reggae grooves, and explosive hip-hop rhythms. Their high-octane live performances, featuring charismatic frontman Barry Ashworth and an ever-evolving lineup of collaborators, have made them a staple on the global festival circuit.
Since their debut album Point Blank (1998), Dub Pistols have released nine albums, with their tenth, Enter The Sound, set for early 2025. They have collaborated with music icons such as Terry Hall (The Specials), Rodney P, Lindy Layton (Beats International), and UK hip-hop legend Akala. Their remix work includes tracks for Moby and The Crystal Method, and they have shared the stage with the likes of Blink 182, Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Groove Armada.
