Artist description
Magazin is a Croatian pop group from Split, and its current line-up is Željko Baričić, Nenad Vesanović – Keko, Ante Miletić, Ivan Huljić and Andrea Šušnjara, Magazin’s vocalist.
In 1979, one of the most known Split’s groups “Mladi batali” held the following line-up: Željko Baričić (solo guitar, vocals), Zoran Marinković (drums, vocals), Miro Crnko (keyboards) and Igor Biočić (bass guitar). The group changes its name into “Dalma” or “Dalmatinski magazin”.
Towards the end of 1979 the group received two new members, Tonči Huljić and Nenad Vesanović Keko.
The band is joined by Ljiljana Nikolovska thanks to whom the album “Split 83” achieved record sales which was never again met. Magazin gained a big number of mostly young fans.
In the beginning of 1987 the band started on a big tour that encompassed all the bigger cities and provinces of Yugoslavia and they also performed in Canada and USA.
In 1990, Danijela Martinović joined the group.
In 1995, Magazin performed and won the Dora competition with their song “Nostalgija” in a duo with Lidija Horvat Dunjko, and they amazed the audience and won the fifth place for Croatia on Eurosong 95 in Dublin.
In the beginning of 1996, the group is left by Danijela Martinović and she was replaced by the young Jelena Rozga.
The newest part of their work was marked by the departure of Jelena Rozga and the arrival of the young Andreja Šušnjara.
