IAAF / VTB Bank Kup kontinenata Split 2010


IAAF / VTB Bank Continental Cup is a new series of competitions under the organization of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). The city of Split has the honour to be the first host city of this new Cup.
This Cup is the biggest international competition in athletics  this year, with 408 participants from Europe, Africa, America and Asia &Oceania who will compete for medals in 40 disciplines.
After summing up the points achieved in both male and female competitions the best selection of the four competing continents will be declared.

Along with the top star, the Split citizen  Blanka Vlašić,  all other leading world athletes will compete in Poljud stadium under the hill Marjan, on September 04th  and 05th. During these days the city of Split will be in the focus of the whole planet.
